Freelance Graphic Design and Visual Arts

If you’ve a hankerin’ to design greeting cards, then this might be your lucky day!  Recycled Paper Greetings hires freelancers.  I like their philosophy -  “Creativity reigns at RPG” – it seems they actually respect their artists.  What a concept!!

From their website :

“Recycled Paper Greeting cards are all created by freelance artists – one of them could be you! Every year, RPG adds 3,000 new cards to its product line. Do you have a clever greeting card concept or a new and interesting style of greeting card that you believe would stand out among the rest? If so, then we want to hear from you!”

Also, Papyrus hires freelancers for designing cards, gift bags, wrapping paper and stationery:

“Papyrus produces a diverse selection of quality greeting cards and paper products.  Much of the artwork featured on our products is purchased from freelance artists, and ranges from graphics, traditional, whimsical, humor and contemporary pieces to photography.  We are always searching for additional freelance artists whose art will enhance the quality of our products, and welcome the opportunity to review your submissions.”

Art In Motion looks very interesting from the standpoint of a way to generate income.  They advertise themselves as fine art publisher and art licensing agency.  It’s a division of a home decor company, and it looks like they mass produce the kinds of art you’d buy in a big box store or a frame shop.  They’re in Canada, but I was kind of impressed by the statement that they reply to all submissions and will return all materials sent through the post office, at their expense.

Check out what they have to say to the artists here.
